Allegiance Moving was by far the most stressful and disappointing company we’ve ever dealt with. We gave a full, accurate description of our 6,000 sq ft, 5 bed/5 bath home, yet they arrived with a U-Haul–sized truck and demanded $13,000 more or they’d walk—a blatant bait-and-switch. Almost every piece of furniture arrived damaged. The movers were unprofessional, left our home filthy, used our bathroom in a disgusting condition, and even took alcohol from our fridge. They showed zero accountability or empathy, despite us moving states with two young children. We were promised delivery in 3–4 days; instead, our belongings were shuffled between trucks and arrived 8 days later. The worst customer service we’ve ever seen—avoid at all costs. Don't walk but RUN away from this company!

DO NOT USE THEM! Worst experience I’ve had with movers. I should have read their reviews first! Pretty much everyone's complaint is very similar.

I called, I got “The owner” he assured me everything will be fine. He made a few statements that were very unprofessional. I should have went with my instincts to call elsewhere. I called 2 days ahead to Check everything. They did put me in a truck to “share to make cheaper” that’s the scam!

I get a call from a completely different company and phone number. Wasn’t told that. Was expecting Allegiance, when they aren’t moving you. They are the broker.

They take your deposit. Then someone calls you jacks up the price . Well I was scheduled for 11am to 3pm …5pm comes around no call nothing. I call the number that’s 24hrs.They tell me I don’t know what to tell you, call dispatch number. I called, They did not answer. I get a text “Relax” I said seriously? That’s not very professional. Text said : be there at 9 truck broke down. This is at 8pm mind you, then 10:30pm comes around. I said this is ridiculous I’ve waited all day. Again, another unprofessional text: “You need to just relax we can’t always play phone games”. At that point, I said I am canceling your services. I get a text says: “real mature”. Then, they show up to my house at 1:00AM. I didn’t answer and blocked my card. I was about to call the police. They left. I will be filing fraud and disputing the deposit. It clearly states 100% refundable on my paperwork. NEVER do business with them. Awful. I pray for the families they have helped. And I will pray for them. In hopes they become a more reputable business. I do not wish them bad, I hope they come around and realize they are hurting their own business.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $800

After my survey the sent me a "firm estimate' of $18,100 and I sent my deposit. Right before they picked up they sent me another "firm estimate" of $22,125 and said I owed them more deposit money, and they weren't sure everything would fit in the truck. It was a shakedown. On the delivery side they scheduled 3 deliveries and didn't show up or call. Just kept lying about where our stuff was. It's been 2 years and they haven't reimbursed me. Crooked company did a vet wrong.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $22125

Absolute worst moving experience ever. Constant delays on the scheduled date of the move. We had to push a flight because they were 10 hours late on the second day of the move. Flat screen TVs broken, tools stolen, nearly everything they could break they managed to break. They forgot items at the house, (we could not push the flight a second time and were asked to trust that they would finish the move) and they wanted to charge extra to go back for the items they had already charged us for! This is the worst interaction I have ever had with a business hands down.

Where do I start with this freaking company. What the don't tell you is that they are a broker company. They'll take your business and get as much as they can from you, then hire another company to move your property. The other company then add their extra fees to your bill and now you're caught in a catch 22. Meaning you can't get your property on the receiving end until you pay the hiked up price. They tell you a price over the phone and once they get to the location start adding to the original. The catch is they ask when do you have to be moved so they can plan the move just close enough to your move out time so that you don't have time to hire another company. It shouldn't cost more than $12,000 to move a two bedroom from Maryland to North Carolina. Let me save you guys from getting ripped off, having your furniture broken or stolen because you don't tip the movers. It's not my job to buy your movers dinner or do I deserve to have my property damaged because of that. Not to mention they tell you that it will cost a certain amount. Once the movers get there to your destination, the price has doubled again. Everyone of their fellow moving companies they are affiliated with are trying to get a piece of the pie for themselves. I had them move a sofa, love seat, two bar stools and a tv table. By the time they picked it up and delivered to my address, the price had doubled. I was told by the female in charge in the office that the price is exactly that. She informed me not to pay a penny more and once the people got there, woo. I was told it was double the price I was quoted after paying half. They refused to release my goods unless I give them what they told me. I tried calling the office and now no one is answering. Before the deal was made, I could call and she would answer the phone by the third or fourth ring. I tried calling about several times and no one answered. SO UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO THROW AWAY, I SINCERELY ADVICE ANYONE TO DEAL WITH A NATION WIDE MOVING COMPANY. ATLEAST YOU'LL GET A FAIR QUOTE THAT WON'T KEEP INCREASING AS YOU DEAL WITH MULTIPLE DRIVERS, COMPANIES ETC.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $12000

First of all the price went up twice after the original estimate, doubling the original estimate.They didn't bring a truck big enough for everything so we had to find people that would help us load vehicles and drive them 1800 miles, I had to pay for hotels, gas, food and two plane tickets and half of what was left is still there, so again, more plane tickets hotels, food and gas and a truck rental. I have lots of pictures of damaged items we, have missing items and when the truck pulled up to unload at least half the boxes were upside down. two of the younger guys where throwing water at each other which we had to clean up and spit something in the dresser drawers, Allegiance had contracted the job to out to ABC moving systems, US DOT 2437030, MC#840430, who has not responded at all to my calls, or emails and Allegiance, US DOT 3183105, MC#128059, has done nothing either to resolve the issue. and there are plenty of pictures and receipts to prove the damage and the cost, 4 times the the estimate if you include the money spent to move what they left behind. I wouldn't use either of these companies, they just don't care.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $12947

Avoid this company. A) grossly underestimate the moving cost, you will pay double or triple what original estimate cites B) people moving our household out dropped and crushed boxes with extensive damage. C) people moving our household out left holes in ceiling, holes in 3 different wall locations. Left handprints on wall in multiple locations which could not be cleaned off. Door ways damaged, doors damaged and of course furniture scratched and damaged. Hardwood floors scratched. D) furniture going into storage - the size of storage unit was greater than truck size, yet due to poor unloading, furniture did not fit into storage location E) unloaded refused to remove blankets to allow inspection for damage. Made several calls to customer service and sales to seek help for problems listed above - no response. If I could rate in negative I would. I found this company on this web page as highly rated - absolute lie based on my experience.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5100

Check BBB website- these are not good people, protect yourself! ITEMS STOLEN! Mover acknowledges items missing but won’t reimburse.

Outrageously inaccurate quotes just to get your money and lock you in, sleazy salesman style, when the truck shows up they will triple the price or leave you stranded. Further, the driver required cash or Venmo in small increments to “avoid being taxed” per BOTH the pick up and drop off drivers- ooops! They weren’t supposed to tell me that!

Truck no showed twice, third scheduled truck then crashed into our fence- truck was uninsured, dropped some cash instead and left us as fast as he could.

When another truck came they sent ONE man to pack our 4 bedroom house, contract said we’d get door to door service. We had to hire someone to come help him b/c one person cannot lift a couch, bed, etc.

Mover has refused to reimburse for missing and damaged items. Over $3,000 in damages/replacements (total move was nearly 10k Seattle to South Texas), our furniture was wrapped and they look like they were drug behind the truck still! Obvious gross negligence in handling of items. When I pushed back on the reimbursement/settlement claim they are now not responding and ghosting me.

The company is bad enough, but it’s even more pathetic that people actually work for them and can still sleep at night while doing this to other people. Shame on you!

This was the worst moving experience I ever had in my life. Do not use them for anything. Check out the BBB site on this company.

1) They are terrible at estimating the cost. The estimate nearly doubled when the movers arrived. The sales rep flat out lied to me over the phone about his estimate being for filling an entire 18 wheeler.

2) The movers arrived 3 days late. The only updates I got were when I had to call the companies multiple times.

3) They made me sign a new contract AFTER they loaded all my belongings and were leaving. They said that without it there was no proof they picked up my stuff. This new contract was horrible and at the time I didn't think there was anything I could do.

4) Took them nearly a month to deliver our stuff. I got no updates on progress again or any estimates unless I called multiple times.

5) When our stuff arrived the vast majority of it was broken. A lot of it looked intentionally destroyed. Footprints on the sides of boxes that were kicked.

6) We had missing boxes as well. They flat out stole our goods since it was only the boxes that had high value electronics in them.

7) They dropped off goods that belonged to other people. When we mentioned this to a mover he said "well, it's off the truck... Do you want to keep it?"

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $20000

Allegiance Moving and Storage said all the right things during the estimation process, then failed miserably on doing anything they said they would do:

>They promised 21 business days for delivery…items arrived 2 1/2 months later.

>Never was able to provide or have information regarding status/Location of items right up until the day before delivery, which ended up on a Sunday.

If I was unavailable on that day then I would be charged an additional $700, despite less than 24 hours notice.

> Added Costa that were never explained or approved by customer, but we had to pay balance in cash only or items would not be delivered. No questions or negotiation.

> Delivery driver showed up in walking boot due to foot injury and I had to do most of the unloading.

> Several items were missing while others were badly damaged and somehow extremely wet as if they had been stored outside…unbelievable!!

> Allegiance Moving and Storage is an awful company and should not be used at anytime.

These are all true data and facts that should all be show stoppers when considering this very poor, crooked company.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $7800

The sales team was fine and friendly. However, you trust them to recommend and hire someone else to actually to the move and are absolved from any responsibility. Multiple pieces of furniture were damaged. I let them know but technically, it was not them. You take a big risk. Cracked, scratched, damaged furniture; entire wardrobe dumped into one wardrobe box with no hanging bar; my garbage was packed. The subcontracted firm was Barahona’s moving and storage LLC. They took a week to get to the place (and I was told by Allegiance customer service they had 30 business days legally). Honestly, they were too small a company to do a $10K move. I think I would have been better off with United. Their quote was $3k more but at least my things, which took me years of savings to accumulate, would have been handled with greater care. The multiple moves into smaller and larger trucks, and then into another truck with other people’s things to make it more economical for them, just raises the risk factor. If you are a campus student, or just starting out and you don’t mind nearly every piece of furniture arriving with a scratch, chipped wood, a cracked leg of your dining room table - go for it.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $10814

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND DO NOT USE THESE MOVING BROKERS. My quote vs. actual price doubled. Every time I called customer service with an issue I spoke to someone who became immediately condescending. My issues were never addressed. Allegiance quoted my 1 bd/1bth as 615 cu sqft, was assured everything was included. My initial estimate was $3579.16. I told them I couldn't move out on a weekend, building rules, but they set the date for Sunday and were unwilling to change it. Movers showed up Sunday and eyeballed my items to fill 1400 cu sqft of space, so the the price changed to $5200. However, the building supervisor said they couldn't move that day, like I had tried to explain. I had to call customer service to get a different day. On the actual moving day, the movers informed me that my items were actually 1000 cubic sqft, and the real price was $6195. I had no choice but to complete the deal or lose $1500 deposit. Customer service sided with the movers every time there was an issue, regardless of the issue. The movers left their packing material trash, and the last items to be moved were window ac units. They leaked all over the apartment, hallway, elevator, and basement. Allegiance said "Thats the least of your worries." The movers never came back to clean up after, they just left. AND, didn't even let me get a picture of the truck/space used. Allegiance backed up the broker when they did a bad job. Im currently trying to set a delivery date and the movers are asking for the concession of me to be available anytime they arrive because they can't guarantee a delivery date but expect me to guarantee a date to be available or else I'll be charged delivery, storage, and moving fees. The most frustrating thing is Allegiance has done nothing for me after the initial quote and booking the movers. Nothing but false promises and bad information. There is NO reason to use this company and I should have just dealt directly with a moving company. Allegience is a scam.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6195

I was moving very last minute and this company took advantage of me and my situation. By the time I realized they were not an actual moving company but a broker it was too late. They did not deny what they did but were not upfront about it either. Communication was a struggle. The company that actually did my move was okay. They took apart my furniture and left me to pick up the parts and such. When they delivered my stuff they did not put the furniture back together even though it says they will. My move was stressful enough and this broker company made it worse. My move could have and should have been less stressful and possibly less expensive.

I was satisfied with my quote for the move from Allegiance. However, the company to which they subcontracted my move (GTS Shipping) was unacceptable. I was never told that my belongings would be offloaded from the original van and put into storage. It was then several weeks before they were put onto another van for transport. I ended up missing several items and 6 items were damaged to the point that they needed to be thrown out. When I called Allegiance, they told me to make a claim with GTS. So the company that I contracted with will not take responsibilities for my claim. Now GTS refuses a claim unless it was documented at the time of delivery. Well, there was just one man from GTS to offload all my things.He I had to get family members to help. The delivery was so unorganized and frenetic that I had no opportunity to fully inspect my belongs. In short, my move was a nightmare for me. Please learn from this! The company you hire often isn't the company that moves you.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5257

I had hired another moving company but they called me day before I was supposed to be picked up and said they can no longer pick me up!! I had to be out of my home so obviously this was horrible news. Luckily while looking around online I stumbled across Allegiance Movers and called them and told them the situation. I spoke with dispatch and he said he would move a few things around and get me onto the schedule and picked up. He kept his word and my things were picked up yesterday and on their way to destination.

Joann at Allegiance Customer Service has redeemed the company’s overall performance with her warmth and considerate handling of all details involved in moving—from hiring Allegiance for the job to execution of it during the Covid19 crisis.Ifshe was unavailable for a phone call, she never failed to call me back; moreover, her efficiency and general knowledge answering each inquiry provided me peace of mind as well as comfort during my first experience with a major move.

Just an update resolution regarding our move from Quincy Florida to Westminster Colorado once Alleigance Moving & Storage received our complaint from Google the company reached out to us Joann apoligized for our missing items & assured us that's not the way they do business they are with client from start to finish she provided a number to fax our missing items to Moving Claims. Net immediately responded we must fill out another claim but at least Joann is trying to help us resolve this problem so I'll acknowledge that Alleigance Moving & Storage listened & are helping us navigate thru this ordeal Kudos to Joann Joann thank you again for your assistance !
